About Eric F. Succar, MD


Eric F. Succar, M.D., is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ENT) who practices adult and pediatric ENT with a specialization in complex sinus, nasal, and skull base disorders. He is a Metro-Detroit native who earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his ENT residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA in 2018.


Immediately after completing his residency, Dr. Eric Succar was accepted into the advanced sinus and endoscopic skull base surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  After completing his fellowship in 2019, Dr. Eric Succar returned home and joined his father Bashar Succar, MD in practice.


Shortly after his father’s retirement, Dr. Eric Succar joined the Michigan Otolaryngology Surgery Associates and continues to provide high-quality ENT care in southeast Michigan.


Dr. Succar is credentialed at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, Royal Oak Beaumont, St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, and Select Specialty Pontiac. He is the vice chair of the otolaryngology Division at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland.


In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Succar has published seven peer-reviewed research articles and one academic book chapter. He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the American Rhinologic Society, and the Michigan Otolaryngology Society. Outside of work, Dr. Succar enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, cooking, and all things related to Michigan and the city of Detroit.
